Who is Wayne?

Dedicated to the Art of Healing and Transformative Therapy

Wayne, a Licensed Professional Counselor, weaves together two decades of expertise with a compassionate touch. Specializing in adult individual and couple therapy, Wayne holds a Masters of Counseling from St. Edward's University, Austin, Texas, earned in 2005. His journey from a successful career in international sales at Dell to fulfilling his lifelong dream of counseling in 1999 underscores his commitment to making a positive impact on lives.

Wayne's extensive training includes certifications in John Gottman’s Method for Couples Therapy, Sue Johnson’s Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy, Ellyn Bader’s Developmental Model for Couples, Internal Family Systems, and EMDR. His practice, established in October 2008, reflects his passion for helping individuals and couples navigate their journeys to emotional well-being.

Beyond the therapy room, Wayne is not just a practitioner but a dedicated contributor to the field. Co-authoring a chapter on couples relationships in the textbook "Positive Couple Relationships: The Evidence for Long-Lasting Relationship Satisfaction and Happiness," he extends his insights to a broader audience.

Maintaining strong ties with St. Edward’s University, Wayne actively shapes the next generation of counselors as a guest lecturer in the Graduate School of Counseling. Residing just 20 minutes outside of Denver in Lakewood, Colorado, Wayne, a devoted father of two remarkable young adults, finds balance through yoga, reading, family time, tennis, and his passion for crafting sourdough. His dedication to fostering positive relationships echoes not just in his professional work but in every aspect of his life, embodying a holistic approach to well-being.
