I specialize in adult individual and couple therapy. I have completed all training in John Gottman’s Method for Couples Therapy, Sue Johnson’s Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, and Ellyn Bader’s Developmental Model for Couples as well as Internal Family Systems and EMDR.
I earned a Masters of Counseling from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas in 2005. From there, I spent three years at Crossroads Counseling Associates and The Affair Recovery Center. In 2008 with extensive training, experience, and a focus on helping individuals and couples, in Austin, I knew the time had come to go into private practice. I opened my practice in October 2008 and have been an active member of the national and local psychotherapist communities ever since.
Areas of Experience and Expertise:
While my background as a former international sales executive, executive coach, middle school teacher, and psychotherapist allows me to help a wide range of people, my practice focuses primarily on:
Treatment Orientation and Therapeutic Style:
I’m deeply committed to creating an atmosphere of trust and safety where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, fantasies, behaviors, and life in general without judgment. I use experiential therapy techniques to guide you through a transformative process. Equally important, I will equip you with the tools needed to maintain your treatment gains.
Insurance and Payment Policy:
I accept cash, personal checks, and most credit cards for payment, due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance. I do not accept insurance; however, I will be happy to provide a receipt with the necessary information for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
